2010 Chevrolet Equinox

The 2010 Chevrolet Equinox gives the driver and passengers a lot to brag about…while they enjoy the ride.

 

The newest model of the Equinox is inspired by the Chevrolet Malibu, with a similar style on both the exterior and interior.  Chrome around the headlights, a curvaceous face with aerodynamic features, and handsome detail on the dashboard give this SUV the ultimate look and feel.

 

The quiet interior with generous legroom will keep passengers content.  MultiFlex rear seat capability allows the seats to move 8 inches forward or back for maximum comfort.    

 

The 7-inch touch-screen navigation system will help anyone find their way.  With an “Eco” button placed on the center console, the Equinox is programmed to shift points of impact to give you the extra mile on gas.  And it gets 31 miles to the gallon on the highway.  For an SUV I would say that’s pretty awesome!

2010 Buick LaCrosse

The 2010 Buick LaCrosse is the ultimate luxury vehicle. After its debut at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, critics only had one word to say, “Wow”.  The elegant and stylish waterfall grille and portholes on the exterior show that this car is not messing around. 

The LaCrosse has three styles:

CX – V-6, 3.0L engine, 255 horsepower, premium cloth seats
CXL – V-6, 3.0L engine, leather heated seats, climate control
CXS – V-6, 3.6L engine, 280 horsepower, leather heated and cooled seats

No matter the style, prepare to be awed when you ride in the 2010 LaCrosse.  A ton of scientific words can be used to describe this element, but here is the best way to understand: If all four wheels were somehow on a different surface (wet, dry, slick, etc.), the LaCrosse will adjust each wheel to maximize ride or comfort.  Wow!

But that’s just the beginning.  Technological features such as Bluetooth GPS, timeshift radio, road-following headlights that curve with the road and power rear sunshade give passengers the ultimate experience.  Safety facets like blind spot warning sensors, and a back-up camera keep the LaCrosse ahead of the rest.

Your First Car

My first car was a 1991 Chevy Blazer. Fire red. Beautiful. She had a bright red decal in the back window, and some sweet turtle bobble heads. I experienced my first car wash with her, my first car repair, my first tank fill-up (at the time it was $21…for an SUV – amazing!) We went in a few snow banks together and had a few trips to the beach. The Blaze and me, we were pals. I only had her for four months and someone pulled out in front of me. She was a gonner – entire frame was bent. We buried her and I bawled. I still miss The Blaze every once in a while when I see another one tooling down the road but I know she’s in a better place now.  And I’m saving a ton on gas!

Michigan International Auto Show

This weekend if you visit downtown Grand Rapids, you will be seeing a fury of crowds and busses.  And cars too.  The Michigan International Auto Show is taking place at DeVos Place Feb. 5 through Feb. 8 and a few exciting new Chevrolet, Buick, and Pontiac models will be there.  Here is a bit more info about it:
