Cash In Your Clunker With Government Assistance

Out with the old and in with the new.

The perfect time has come to get rid of that old car you’ve been salvaging and trade it in for a new one, with a rebate incentive.

The Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save Act of 2009 (CARS) has created the Car Allowance Rebate Program now known as Cash for Clunkers, to help consumers trade in their old cars for newer, more fuel efficient cars. Whether you lease or purchase a car, your new car could be significantly cheaper.

Both TW BPG in Grand Rapids and TW Chevy in Hudsonville are participating and excited about the great offer to its customers.

The program is really easy. You trade-in your car and upgrade to a new one with better fuel mileage and receive up to $4,500 in government assistance. Only the cars that qualify for the trade-in and purchase/lease will receive the rebate.

Want to know if your vehicle qualifies? Check out the details.

Just In: The New GM Launches Today

Source: gmtv.feedroom.com

The new General Motors Company launches today with a new corporate structure, a stronger balance sheet, and a renewed commitment to make the customer the center of everything new GM does.  The new GM company is created from GM’s strongest assets and includes four core brands (Chevy, Cadillac, Buick, GMC) backed by the nation’s largest and strongest dealer network.

General Motors President and CEO Fritz Henderson hosted a press conference this morning  to update the media on GM business activities.  To watch the press conference click here.

TW BPG Awaits The 2010 Buick Lacrosse

Classic.  Innovative.  Contemporary.

The new 2010 Buick LaCrosse embodies these words.

From its sleek appearance with ice-blue ambient lighting to the Bluetooth phone system for hands-free conversation, the new LaCrosse is cutting edge.

With safety features like TAP shift, stabilitrak and OnStar Automatic Crash response, the LaCrosse is sure to keep you safe.  The TAP shift allows you to shift gears manually using the shifter in the tap down/up position.  Designed to help you stay on course, the stabilitrak control system senses steering input and adjusts accordingly to help you steer.  The LaCrosse also comes equipped with one year of OnStar Automatic Crash response for times of emergency.

The heated and ventilated leather-appointed seats and dual rear-back DVD screens aren’t the only thing that provides a comfortable ride.  According to Buick.com, the 3.6L Direct-Injection V6 engine uses less fuel to deliver the same amount of horsepower.  The 2010 LaCrosse gets 27  MPG on the highway with a horsepower of 280 at 6300 RPM.

Yet some of the LaCrosse’s best attributes are inside the tech-savvy car.  The QuietTuning feature allows the LaCrosse to reduce, block and absorb outside noise.  The Head-Up display helps you keep your eyes ahead while displaying the speedometer, turn signal indicators, cruise control and audio system in your windshield.  Also, the Side Blind Zone ensures you avoid the car riding alongside you by displaying an alert when a vehicle is in your blind spot.

TW BPG is expecting the 2010 LaCrosse any day now.

We’ll keep you posted on the arrival.  Once it hits the showroom, we will certainly encourage you to visit  the BPG store on 28th Street to experience innovation at its finest.

“New GM” Is On Its Way With New Sale

GM is making strides towards becoming the “New GM.”

GM’s president and CEO Fritz Henderson posted information about GM’s sale on its blog, GM FastLane.  According to Henderson, GM received court approval for a sale of a large portion of GM’s assets to the U.S. Department of Treasury.  The sale is expected to close soon after the appeal process.

With the “New GM” emerging, many changes and decisions have been made.

“We have, in effect, been fixing our bike while we ride it.  Now the repair work is almost done, and we’re steering the company back onto a path to viability and success,” Henderson commented in the blog.

The “New GM” is set to include four core brands: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac.  These brands will continue to produce new cars for dealerships, both TW dealerships among them.
